Hi, I'm Devin Moody.

I am an Art Teacher and Graphic Designer from Salt Lake City, Utah.

As a teacher, I’ve spent over a decade creating design challenges and nurturing creativity in my students. My experience in teaching has equipped me with a knack for simplifying complex concepts and communicating ideas effectively.

As a designer, I love creating logos and building brands that feel authentic and tell a story. For me, it’s about more than just making something look good, it’s about capturing the heart of an idea and bringing it to life visually.

My current Capstone Project:

Motion Design Projects

Creating a TV advertisement bumper for National Geographic. I tried to capture the beauty and diversity of nature.

Creating a TV advertisement bumper for Netflix. I used the theme of the popular Stranger Things show as the aesthetic for the animations and music.

Creating a Title Sequence for the Apple TV show Silo. I tried to capture depth of the dystopian tone of the show with the subtle mystery undertone.

Creating a infographic about the Tallest Structures in the world. I focused on the Burj Khalifa and how it compares the the history of humanities tallest structures.

UX/UI Projects

Designing an Art History app called ArtLingo. Many people struggle to engage with art history.

Museums can feel overwhelming and classroom learning can feel too focused on memorization and not enough on connection. ArtLingo helps to build engagement with art history.

Designing an Art Exhibit to help others connect with the world of Ceramics. Impressions in Clay is an exhibit that invites people to slow down and see pottery in a new way. It moves through three rooms: Shapes, Patterns, and Stories.

Each one focuses less on the finished object and more on the process and meaning behind it. Visitors get to explore how form and design have evolved across cultures and experience the unique qualities of ceramics.

Created an evolving Identity System for the National Park Service through a bi-monthly promotion of 6 National Parks throughout the year. The promotion will be called RANGERBOX and will target a younger audience to become more aware of lesser-visited national parks at their peak season.

Created an brand redesign for Puma. Currently Puma’s UX/UI appeals to an urban, sport-focused consumer who prioritizes style over functionality. While the brand offers a variety of products suitable for outdoor use, its strong fashion oriented visuals limit its appeal to outdoor enthusiasts.

Puma misses the mark for audiences who prioritize outdoor activities and product versatility. These audiences are drawn to brands that resonate with their lifestyles through imagery, storytelling and functionality. Without a deeper focus on these elements, Puma’s ability to expand into the outdoor-oriented market remains limited.
